BIOGRAPHY

From a young age Lucia was exposed to interior design through her mother, Aurora Alexiades, a well known Spanish Interior Designer.

Having traveled throughout Europe and North Africa as a child, Lucia was used to spending weekends going to design fairs and antique shows, treasure hunting through Sunday markets and foreign bazaars. This very special background gave her a unique perspective of the balance and harmony interiors could achieve in a home.

After moving to the United States in 2015, Lucia started her design career at Studio Mellone a Brazilian design firm, adding a Mid Century Modern design acumen to her already diverse background. In 2019 she joined Luxemark Interiors, where she became project lead decorating homes with a more classical twist in Sag Harbor and Southampton.

After freelancing for projects in Spain, Barbados and the American Northeast, creating her own design firm was a natural evolution, and Lucia incorporated Canewood Interiors in 2022 to continue designing homes around the world.

Combining her passion for great design, art and different cultures, Lucia has developed a reputation for creating original, beautiful and timeless spaces.
